Teeth-in-a-Day"Teeth-in-a-Day" is a concept that is probably very appealing to anyone who is considering replacing teeth, or dentures. Who wouldn't want their procedure completed all in one day? As a result, "Teeth-in-a-Day" has become a very popular advertising claim. However, calling the procedure "Teeth-in-a-Day" is a bit misleading because patients do not actually have dental implants placed and the final implant-retained bridges seated in just one day. Typically, the patient has an initial consultation and a 3D CAT scan. Then virtual planning software is used to plan the entire case on models, including implant placement and the design of the replacement teeth. This technology enables the surgical specialist to place the implants, and the lab technician to fabricate and deliver the implant-retained bridges the same day. Although the surgical procedures and temporary bridges are provided in one day, the diagnostics and treatment planning can take a few weeks. In addition, the fit and occlusion (how the upper and lower teeth come together) will need to be checked before the final implant-retained bridges are seated. It is important to understand that not all patients qualify for this procedure. However, if you are a candidate for this procedure, "Teeth-in-a-Day" will allow you to eat, speak and smile with confidence immediately.
